Berrima Engineering started designing roller bar hay rakes in 1992 and built the prototype for the B24 shortly there after. The B24 went into production in 1994 and was well received by the industry as it opened up a new line of thinking in the hay rake arena.
The B24 was built much stronger than any other roller bar rake on the market, was compact and had incredible stability over rough ground, made perfect windrows and parts and bearings were off the shelf and locally stocked. Most importantly the B24 had the best raking action due to the roller bar raking principal which is the most versatile, gentle and clean action available.

Along with clever designs, ease of operation and second to none company back up the B24 paved the way for the pride of the fleet in the current range, the B800. The B800 was first released in 1998 and is still the most popular seller in the Berrima range. The B800 has incorporated all the best features of the B24 but with many extra features due to the suggestions of our customers as well as the experience gained by the company over these years. The B800 is tried and tested year in and year out by large scale hay growers and contractors and has stood up to arduous work and has only had minor features added over the years.

The B800 has delivered the performance and results growers want but the industry is demanding larger capacity machines all the time to cope with wider mowers and bigger areas to cover in one day, which is what led to the development of the B1000 in 2004.
The B1000 is a larger version of the B800, raking up to 10 metres in a single pass.

Berrima engineering prides itself on producing quality state of the art products, this is why our staff are also given the opportunity to operate the machines they build, so they can contribute to design and they have great pride in what they build hence we never stop looking at ways to improve the designs and features on our machines. Being a "hands on" company we attend as many field days and demonstration days as possible and are willing to respond to interest shown.
